St Martin Boat Show 2010

Sales and many inquiries at St Martin Boat Show 2010

Marigot--SXM Marine, organizers of the boat show held in Hotel Mercure Marina, reported a good attendance for
the 3-days show held last weekend for sellers and buyers.

Three definite sales were confirmed and some twenty to twenty-five "serious" enquiries received, some of which
may still turn into sales.

A large selection of vessels was on display including catamarans, fishing boats, power boats, tenders, as well as
jet skis and watersport equipment. Many of the larger vessels were presented by brokers as well as private
individuals. Prices were generally in the five to six figures range. An extra day was added on Monday.

"I estimate we had in the region of 1,200 to 1,500 visitors over the three days" reported organizer Hervé Dutter.
"Sunday was the best day for attendance. There was fairly equal interest in the higher priced boats as well as the
lower prices ones."

He noted SXM Marine will organize the show again next year, and may even have two events.

The winner of the lottery presented by Sun Evasion was Franck Robert of Baie Nettle who won a day charter for
eight persons.
